Second Texas Pharmacy Recalls Injectable Compound Over Bacterial Endotoxin Risk, FDA Says
Houston-based Optimal Balance Pharmacy is recalling one lot of compounded glutathione 200 mg/mL multi-dose vials after testing found elevated bacterial endotoxin levels. The FDA said such products can cause serious reactions, and the pharmacy has received adverse event reports including fever, chills and allergic symptoms.
